Following Sporting Fingal’s magnificent 2009 season when they won promotion from the First Division and claimed the FAI Ford Cup final, the new Airtricity League season started last (March 5) at Dalymount Park when Liam Buckley's side lost narrowly to a controvresial penalty against back-to-back Premier Division title winners Bohemians.
Their first home game of the season takes place this Friday at Morton Stadium in Santry against Sligo Rovers, in a repeat of last year's FAI Ford Cup final, which Fingal won 2-1.
The opening six games in the Airtricity League for Sporting Fingal are:

Friday, 2 April: St. Patrick’s Athletic v Sporting Fingal, Richmond Park (7.45pm)
