Finn Harps 3-2 Sporting Fingal.
Finn Harps produced their best display of the season as they recorded a shock win over promotion chasing Sporting Fingal.
In a lively opening quarter both teams had chances with Michael Funston and Christy Conaghan going close for Harps while Gary O'Neill and Conan Byrne threatened for Sporting Fingal.
But it was the Dublin outfit that opened the scoring. Alan Kirby, evading the best efforts of goalkeeper Ciaran Gallagher who had been forced to move off his line, crossed from the left and Byrne headed home from close range on 24 minutes.
But the home side responded commendably and were level seven minutes later. Centre-half Packie Mailey was fully 25 yards out from goal when he turned and let fly with a cracking effort that flew into the top right corner.
And on 37 minutes, the Finn Park faithful were leaping in delight again as Houston rose beyond the back post to head a corner into the danger area where Fintan Bonner met it with a volley to make it 2-1.
The Donegal side then made it 3-1 on 59 minutes when the impressive Shaun Houston weaved his way past a number of defenders before firing past goalkeeper Darren Quigley.
Both sides had further chances in a highly entertaining contest with Sporting Fingal getting their second in the 90th minute through substitute David Corcoran.
