Waterford to host Fingal in friendly on Saturday

Sporting Fingal have a trip to Tipp arranged for this Saturday (Feb 27) as they meet Waterford United at the home of Cahir Park, Tipperary as part of the Junior club's centenary celebrations. Kick-off is at 2.30pm.

 

Cahir Park are the oldest Junior club in the country and are proud to he hosting the pre-season friendly between the Blues and FAI Ford Cup winners Sporting Fingal.

 

With just a week to go before Fingal begin life in the Premier Division with an away assignment at back-to-back title winners Bohemians, Fingal manager Liam Buckley is placing a major emphasis on this weekend's warm-up match.

 

So far in their pre-season programme, Fingal have played Monaghan United (0-0), Swords Celtic (8-0), Derry City (1-1) and Longford Town in the Leinster Senior Cup which ended in a 4-3 penalty shoot-out victory after a 1-1 draw.
