Alan is a stalwart of the League of Ireland and a valuable addition to the squad at the start of the 2009 season.

The Waterford native spent his formative years at Johnville, transferred to Aston Villa and then joined Longford Town where he emerged as a key player for manager Alan Matthews, scoring in the 2004 FAI Cup final triumph.

Transferred to St. Patrick’s Athletic in 2007 and slotted straight into the Saints midfield. Has UEFA Cup experience and was part of the Ireland Under-20 team which clinched bronze at the 1997 World Youth Cup in Malaysia.
